Police Blotter

The Police Reports in Tupelo's Journal
had this listed. I really enjoy the cadence as much as the content.

The following reports were filed Tuesday by the Tupelo Police Department, and released Wednesday by the lee County Sheriff's Department.

Tupelo Police Department

o Someone stole a bike on Bickerstaff.

o A drunken pedestrian was arrested on South Green Street. She was also wanted in Itawamba County.

o A cow got loose on Highway 45 near East Main. It made its way east on Main, went into Quality Auto Sales and damaged a window and furniture. It had a Tupelo Stock Yard tag, so police called the stock yard owner. He told officers to "shoot the damn cow or leave it the Hell alone." Before he hung up, he said the cow had been loose for two days and was causing damage.

o Police served a warrant on a drunken pedestrian wandering around in the middle of North Gloster Street.

o A woman claimed that a repo man assaulted her while retrieving her truck.

o A lakeview Drive resident turned his station wagon over to a man who said he would fix it. He hasn't seen the car since.
